Bio
Since the age of 4, sitting at the piano has been a place of comfort, relaxation and expression for Australian pianist and composer Melany Thompson. Classically trained as a child, Melany began creating her own original music as a teenager, and has returned to music later in life to record and share her music with the world. Described as 'hauntingly beautiful', her emotive compositions are written from the heart to help transmit a sense of peace and provide a space for deep reflection.
Since her debut album release in 2019, Melany has released music with a number of independent labels around the world including Yellow Rose Records and Australian-based Soothe Sounds, New York based label Sonder House and European labels Silent Beat Records, Andante & Aemeralds. She is also a Whisperings Solo Piano artist and can be heard on One World Music radio and across all music streaming platforms.

"Quiet Sun" is Melany's contribution to the Yellow Rose Records compilation album "Dream Chasers Vol 5. As The Spring Comes" - released on March 10, 2023.
This track is a positive and light piece inspired by the power that comes from the quieter things in life. It is dedicated to my nephew, a quiet soul who always shines brightly from within.
