Hello everyone.I joined in December but have just got around to reading through the forums, and found some really helpful and interesting posts. I hope I can contribute in some way in the future.I have worked in the music industry all of my working life - almost 35 years now :o I worked as a songwriter and producer in my 20's, then moved into production music (which I still do now as my day job). I started releasing modern classical in 2009, and did reasonably well. I've generated over 10 million streams on Pandora - Spotify didn't exist back then. Actually I've got no traction on Spotify and am finding it difficult. I've tried FB ads, playlists, various things. But success in this genre seems to depend almost entirely on large, usually editorial playlists. In my research of various piano artists, that was the only common denominator.I haven't released an album since 2016 but am working on one now, so I'm definitely motivated to work on my Spotify numbers.
