Symphonic Distro

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone has ever heard about Symphonic Distro?

It's a distributor that has worked with a lot of artists and they've been reaching out by email wanting to work with me. I just never heard about them before...

Has anyone had any experience with them or heard something about them?

Also never heard about them before. What kind of collaboration did they offer you? Distribution through their platform or promotion?

Both. Distribution to pretty much all streaming platforms. Pitching to editorials on multiple streaming platforms too. They take 15% from royalties.

I get 100% of my royalties with Distrokid but no pitching/promotion at all.

Sorry Francisco that my answers are always so delayed. I am not sure if I would agree to these kind of deals if I were in your shoes. Spotify editorials are usually short term stream generators, aren't they? Especially in neo-classical piano where there is a lot of music being ghostwritten and spotify has all the rights to the song so the chance of landing on them is very tricky. But the 15% royalties would then be forever gone to a distribution service. Even though I dislike how DistroKid has evolved especially with their customer support, I'd say stay with keeping 100% royalties for now* * very, very, very personal opinion coming from a person who doesn't make a living from this

Well it's not only spotify, that's the thing. i've had people say very good things about their connections to multiple streaming services editorials like apple music, amazon, pandora, youtube...

Anyway, i haven't made a decision yet. we'll see!

I’m in the process of trying to find out if they distribute to Apple Classical. I’ve seen videos of artists talking about the service. It seems they offer a lot, claim to distribute to the most platforms e.g., some services you have to pay for. A sync option called ‘Bodega’ or something like that . I submitted for sync but was rejected.

Yeah i've been asking around and had different opinions, most of them are very good, some not so much.. i guess everyone's experience with a distributor can differ.
