Hi everyone. I hope you're all doing well and managing to enjoy the summer. It's been a busy time for me so I feel a bit behind with things.
Over the last month or so I decided I would try to put out the interviews when artists had a new release so I could share their most recent addition as well. Today I released a new interview with the incredibly talented @Adrien de la Salle.
Before I talk about the article though I need to offer an apology to my last interviewee, the wonderful Yakov Berger. I typed up a post to share with you but got stopped part way through and forgot to share it!
I wanted to share a little bit of background info about Yakov. Back in 2021 I was starting to record my first album but kept on doubting myself. I'm a member of a few piano groups on FB who share their music and one day whilst scrolling, I stumbled upon a delicate little piece of music called Wasted Tears by Yakob Berger. His work is so intimate and it drew me in to find more from him. After getting in touch with Yakov he gave me some advice which pushed me to put my music out there for the world so I just want to thank him for his beautiful work and his support. I really recommend checking out his music if you haven't already.
I was truly honoured and humbled when Adrien agreed to an interview/article with me. To have such an established artist give their time and thoughts to this little project of mine was truly kind of him. It is always really rewarding to get to learn and know about other artists and I also love to delve through their catalogue of music as you can find so many stunning pieces that would otherwise get missed. It gives me the time to put down what I'm doing and just listen to some great music.
I'm also really liking learning about how we all got started in our musical journeys and I have had some really thought provoking answers from everyone so far. It's interesting to see where artists get their inspiration.
If you get the chance and fancy learning about our peers please check out the articles with the link below.
I have a few more articles lined up but I will be contacting artists again shortly for more interviews soon.
Have a great weekend everyone
Great interviews as always Richard!
May i suggest setting a link for each artist/interview? Right now they are all together at the same place (Meet the community) - so it makes it harder for me or anyone to share a specific interview because then visitors have to scroll down until they find that specific artist. Hope it makes sense what i'm trying to say!
thanks for highlighting these two fantastic composers!
