Hi everyone. For the last year or so, I decided rather then taking a scattergun approach to my music, I thought I would set my goals up for specific platforms, these mainly being spotify and youtube.
I had previously tried FB ads to target multiple streaming services but found it hard to lock one down so I decided to go with these 2. This then became just spotify as I found it easy to navigate the data via spotify for artists to see how the ads were working.
The problem I've found is that I'm bottlenecked into just spotify at the moment. Any funds I get are coming only from spotify.
I would like to branch out more as I've so many artists share the love they get via pandora in particular. I'm just not sure where to try next. FB ads get expensive so I don't really want to be throwing money in too many pots.
Can anyone recommend where an indie artist should head towards after spotify? Where do you find you pick up the most streams other than spotify and how did you target these?
I use submithub and groover a little bit but I've always had my music shared in spotify lists rather than anywhere else.
It would just be nice to get some more mileage from somewhere else. I realise that going through a label opens these doors but I'm enjoying the ride with releasing indie still so any advice is greatly appreciated.
