Hi guys!
I was wondering, how do you create your album covers? I mean, how do you find the right inspiration that makes you say that that cover is suitable for that exact song? Besides, where do you get the images from? Do you make them yourself or do you find them online? I currently use the ones from the "canva.com" site, but there are only a few that I really like.
I would love to know your opinion on this!
All my covers are done by me. I`m a photography passionated too! If you search @davidgoitia on Instagram, you can see my photos. If someone likes one photo to be used in his/her music, don´t hesitate to contact me.
Other way to get images for free is "pixabay". They have a big amount of free images!
Most covers for my music are done by a friend, Angela Manoukian, who is a graphic designer here in Montreal. She's amazing!
There's maybe 2-3 releases that i had to take care of the cover myself. In that case, i used Canva and did somethin quick/simple. It's not bad but far from the quality and creativity of my friend's work!
As far as the inspiration, it depends on the piece. Sometimes it's very easy to choose something. What i love about working with Angela is that she has amazing ideas and is super helpful. She's also very talented so let's say my piece is called Butterfly, well she's not just gonna use a photo of a butterfly. she has a very artistic vision and loves abstract too!
I like to use canva for designing, but pexels Is usually where I go to for royalty free images!
